From Reflection to Action

How business leaders translate values into decisions under systemic disruption

In a period of both polycrisis and metacrisis as identified by both scholars and practitioners, my doctoral research asks a question I kept encountering: how do leaders actually translate their values into decisions when disruption is not an exception but the operating environment?

Grounded in interviews with leading business leaders across Switzerland, Mongolia, Belgium, and France, and a review of over 100 publications, the research produced the ROOT-to-FRUIT Model: a seasonal, eight-stage framework for responsible-resilient leadership.

The model is temporal (development takes over 18 months, not programme cycles), bidirectional (inner work feeds outer action and vice versa), and context-sensitive (culture, trust, and structure are active variables, not background noise).

The free 40-item self-assessment maps your practice across all eight stages and produces a personalised leadership profile.

"Transformation begins beneath the soil. Its fruits emerge above the surface, but its truth is measured across seasons."

Common yet complex challenge: the will to be responsible and impactful, but not always the strategy, clarity or capacity to make it happen - Let’s work on it together!
